Privacy Policy

What we collect

• If you sign in with Google: your name and email address, used to create your account and let you return to it.
• Gameplay data: your guesses, wins, and stats for the daily games, Battle Mode, Connect and Grid, so your progress and history can be shown back to you.
• If you play without signing in: a randomly-generated guest identifier is stored in your browser to track that session's progress and which days you played. If you later sign in from that browser, it's linked to your account so your activity isn't counted twice.
• If you contact us: your message, the email address you give (if any) so we can reply, and which page and game you wrote from. It's only used to read and answer your message.

We don't collect payment information, don't run ads, and don't use tracking/analytics services that follow you across other sites.

How it's used

Solely to run the game itself: authenticating you, saving your progress, showing leaderboards and stats, and matching you with an opponent in Battle Mode. Aggregate, non-identifying activity counts (like how many people played on a given day) are used internally to understand how the game is doing.

Emails

If you're signed in, Rosterdle may send you the occasional email, like a heads-up when your daily streak is about to end. Emails go to the address from your Google sign-in.

You can unsubscribe with the link in any email, or any time from your email preferences.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account deactivates it and signs you out immediately. Your game history, streaks, and Battle Mode data are kept (in deactivated form) so we can understand how the game is used over time.

If you sign back in later with the same Google account, it's automatically reactivated and your history picks up right where it left off.

If you'd rather have your personal data erased entirely rather than deactivated, email rosterdle@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Sharing

Your data isn't sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing. It's stored with standard infrastructure providers (a database and a hosting/caching service) solely to operate the site.

Children

Rosterdle isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
